Martin Guitar Museum Unveils New Exhibit Showcasing Vintage Martin Electric Guitars

Nazareth, PA - September 11, 2024

NAZARETH, PA – The Martin Guitar Museum is proud to announce the opening of a new exhibit, The Tom JeBran Collection, showcasing a remarkable selection of vintage Martin electric guitars from the personal collection of Tom JeBran, President of Trans-Bridge Lines, Inc. The exhibit will officially open on September 9, 2024, and will run for one year, offering visitors an exclusive opportunity to explore some of the rarest instruments in the company’s history.

The first six months of the exhibit will feature six Martin F Series electric guitars, including the F-50, F-55, and F-65 models, alongside Tom’s prized 1962 Martin 112T amplifier. Following this, the exhibit will transition to display six of Tom's GT Series electrics, including the GT-70 and GT-75 models.

The F Series, first introduced in 1961, was a thinline electric guitar inspired by Martin’s earlier archtop models. Despite an initial production of nearly 800 units in 1962, interest quickly waned, and the series was discontinued. The GT Series followed in 1965, featuring bold colors and a distinctive new headstock design, but it also struggled to gain traction. These F and GT Series guitars have since become coveted collectors’ items.

Tom JeBran, a third-generation leader of the family-owned Trans-Bridge Lines bus company based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, has amassed a significant collection of these Martin electric guitars over the years. His passion for both music and the legacy of Martin Guitar is evident in the carefully curated selection on display.
