The Martin HD-28 is a legendary acoustic guitar, trusted by generations of players and played by countless icons across genres. Its Dreadnought body size and scalloped bracing delivers the bold, projective tone with strong bass, clear trebles, and rich overtones that has defined acoustic music for nearly a century. Handcrafted with a solid spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, the HD-28 offers a resonant, balanced voice for all playing styles. Bold herringbone top inlay and an ebony fingerboard with abalone diamond and square inlays add a vintage-inspired touch. The satin neck, featuring a Golden Era (GE) Modified Low Oval profile, high-performance taper, and 25.4" scale length, ensures effortless playability. Complete with antique white binding, an ebony bridge with bone pins, and nickel open gear tuners, the HD-28 blends timeless craftsmanship with modern versatility. Available in a variety of gloss options, it’s a guitar you can trust to unleash the artist within.

Martin’s refreshed Standard Series for 2025 enhances tone, comfort, and style. Sitka spruce GE top bracing, as featured on the Modern Deluxe Series, delivers vintage-inspired tone and sustain, while updates like a reimagined neck profile, thinner fingerboard, and refined bridge and heel improve playability and aesthetics. Each guitar includes a hardshell case.

Sturgill Simpson

Metamodern Sounds in Country Music hints at the psychedelic sounds found within, a departure from Simpson’s first album, which drew comparisons to the music of Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard. “I think that there is a lot of room in country music for progression and sonic oscillation, which is what I wanted to explore.”

“Never in a million years when I was a teenager learning Stanley Brothers songs on my Grandfather's guitar would I have ever thought someday I'd be a Martin Ambassador. Words cannot express the pride and honor I feel representing this company, its legacy, and its products”

John Moreland

Big Bad Luv is the record John Moreland made after, after everything in his life changed. For the better.

He sings in one of those accents from flyover country that's impossible to locate and implausible to mimic. (Texas, by way of Northern Kentucky, but mostly Tulsa, as it happens.) He sings directly from his heart, with none of the restraint and filters and caution the rest of us would apply for public protection. He sings with resolute courage.

He sings.

And writes. Writes with simple eloquence about love and faith and isolation; the human condition; what every song and poem and novel is about, at the core: Life.

Father John Misty

Singer/songwriter J. Tillman's music paints languid, sadly beautiful portraits of love and life on the margins with the moody depth of Nick Drake and the country-influenced textures of Ryan Adams. Tillman first made a name for himself playing drums in a pair of indie rock bands, Saxon Shore and Stately, while attending college in New York City. In his spare time, however, he began writing material of his own, citing the music of Nick Drake and Pete Seeger, and the writings of Flannery O'Connor, as key influences.
