At Martin Guitar, every instrument is a testament to craftsmanship, quality, and innovation. But every so often, we reach a milestone that reflects not just the dedication to building exceptional guitars, but the history and the people behind the brand. These milestone guitars are more than just instruments—they’re snapshots in time that honor key moments in Martin’s nearly two-century-long legacy.

The D-3 Millionth: A Masterpiece of Artistry & Craftsmanship

The latest jewel in the company’s crown is the D-3 Millionth, which marks the monumental achievement of our 3 millionth serialized guitar. Unveiled at The 2025 NAMM Show, this breathtaking Dreadnought celebrates the “& Co.” in Martin's name—the artisans and workers whose contributions helped build the brand. Its intricate design symbolizes the company’s growth over the past 192 years, represented by sycamore and gold tree rings and diamonds marking key milestones along the way.

Watch the documentary below to learn more about the making and story behind the D-3 Millionth. Hear from Martin executives and team members who played a vital role in designing and crafting this masterpiece and explore its unique details and features.

Discover how the vision came to life—from Martin's headquarters in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, to the expert inlay artisans at Pearl Works in Maryland. The D-3 Millionth is more than an ornate, celebratory guitar—it’s a piece of Martin history, and a symbol of the company’s past, present, and future.

With only three of these guitars in existence, the D-3 Millionth is a true collector’s item. Serial number 3,000,000 will reside in the Martin Museum, while the other two—serial numbers 3,000,001 and 3,000,002—are available for sale.

The D-300 (below), inspired by the D-3 Millionth, is also available to a lucky few. With only 30 of these limited-edition guitars available, it’s a stunning tribute to Martin’s legacy, featuring intricate sycamore, silver, and gold inlays, rare Brazilian rosewood, and the same “past, present, and future” theme that ties these milestone guitars together.

Other Milestone Guitars: A Rich Legacy of Innovation

Beyond the D-3 Millionth, Martin has celebrated other landmark achievements with equally stunning guitars. Our D-2.5 Millionth honored C. F. Martin Sr.'s journey from Germany to America, adorned with diamonds, sapphires, and rubies in a dazzling star map of the night sky he would have seen in 1833.
