Standard Series Refresh
The Standard Series is the heart of Martin’s iconic lineup, trusted for its unparalleled craftsmanship and timeless sound. In 2025, we’re taking it to the next level with thoughtful updates designed to enhance tone, comfort, and aesthetic appeal. Sitka spruce Golden Era (GE) top bracing, featured on our Modern Deluxe Series, is now included on Standard Series instruments. This vintage-inspired bracing creates a breathy, resonant tone with enhanced sustain and warmth, giving each note room to breathe. The necks feature a Modified Low Oval profile optimized for a more vintage feel, along with a gently beveled fingerboard edge and refined string spacing that improve playability for hours of comfortable playing.
But that’s not all—the GE modern belly bridge now has smoother, rounded corners for a more comfortable feel. Bone or ebony bridge pins, depending on the model, add a touch of vintage appeal and elevate tonal response. Subtle yet impactful visual updates like a long diamond neck transition, angled nut cut, and a sleeker vintage-style heel complete the refresh, making the Standard Series feel familiar yet distinctly modern.

000-17, D-17 & OM-45
One of three all-new Standard Series models, the Martin 000-17 is a welcome addition to the lineup, blending vintage charm with modern refinements for a versatile playing experience. With its solid mahogany body and satin finish, this 14-fret 000 model delivers warm, woody tones perfect for everything from fingerpicking to dynamic strumming. The Sitka spruce GE top bracing adds vintage resonance and clarity, while the GE Modified Low Oval neck profile offers exceptional playability. A thinner ebony fingerboard with a gently beveled comfort edge enhances the playing experience, making it feel like the guitar was made just for you. With details like an ebony modern belly bridge and open-gear tuners, the 000-17 is a tasteful blend of classic craftsmanship and modern precision.

The Martin D-17 is a bold new Dreadnought that pairs mahogany’s warmth with modern features for players seeking both power and comfort. The GE-inspired bracing adds a breathy, vintage tone, while the Dreadnought shape ensures rich, booming lows and bright highs that cut through any mix. The ebony fingerboard and GE modern belly bridge add refined resonance and a sleek touch, while the neck’s slimmer profile and satin finish make it effortless to play, even during long performances. Nickel open-gear tuners and a vintage-style heel enhance the D-17’s visual appeal, proving that this guitar is as beautiful as it is powerful.

Finally, the Martin OM-45 joins the refreshed D-45 as the crown jewel of the Standard Series. Crafted with East Indian rosewood back and sides and a solid spruce top, it produces a balanced, resonant sound with remarkable sustain. The full-gloss finish highlights its stunning grain, while elegant pearl inlays and gold open-gear tuners add a touch of luxury.
