Why would an acoustic guitar maker feel the need to make their own strings? One word: tone. When you’ve been building guitars as long as we have, when you’ve been focused on perfecting tone, strings are too critical to leave to someone else. That’s why we bought the Darco Strings company in 1970. It gave us the ability to make strings the way they should be made. We've invested in R&D, engineering, and equipment to produce the strings your instrument deserves and to generate tone you’ll fall in love with.
